Cassandra strives to incorporate culture and diversity in her projects; her short film, BATTLE OF THE STICKS (2016) shares the Filipino cultural dance, Tinikling. This project was an entry to Justin Lin's YOMYOMF Interpretations 2.0 contest sponsored by Comcast and NBC Universal. In her efforts to be a voice for inclusion, she participated in the 2019 Easterseals Disability Film Challenge and directed the short film TAKE IT BACK starring Santina Muha (Netflix One Day At A Time). Out of 71 film entries, Take It Back was 1 of 5 nominated for BEST FILM. Cassandra built her feature film experience as the First Assistant Director on the film Chalk It Up (NETFLIX) in 2014; From 2016 to 2018 she assisted Producer Deborah Del Prete (Wedding Planner, Ender’s Game) in producing the feature film Locating Silver Lake starring Josh Peck (Nickelodeon’s Drake and Josh) and Finn Wittrock (LA LA Land, American Horror Story).
Not only does Cassandra create film narratives, she also takes delight in music videos. The Filharmonic (NBC's The Sing Off, CBS's The Late Late show with James Corden) released a Christmas music video featuring Spencer Ludwig which Cassandra had a blast directing. It was a one shot take with three set changes. In the late fall of 2018, Cassandra directed a live talk show on MyxTV - AND WE'RE LIVE - starring Trace Gaynor and Farina Aguinaldo. Currently, she is in post production for the short film Morning Beautiful starring Dia Frampton (NBC's The Voice, Meg and Dia).
